Stages of Change

This is Jennifer.
Many of you out there know how close we were. Thank you all for your kind words. I spent the week with his family and it has helped a great deal with the healing process.

I think the best way to honor him is to pick up where he left off and continue to work hard to be healthy.  I will be writing a lot more here. I never had the talent he did with words but my heart is in the same place. I will never give up hope that I can kick this addiction to food.

I got back to Florida yesterday and I am still having trouble eating. I have been forcing protein down me just to say healthy. I ate almost nothing for the 4 days I was in Idaho. I was just too upset. His sister and niece made me protein shakes since that was the only thing I could keep down.

I am now back to solid foods but my stomach as gone back to its normal size and now I have to eat smaller meals more often.

well that is all for now. I have a ton of homework to catch up on.

  1. Jennifer, thank you so much for posting on his site

I left you a message, under anonymous.......

He had such a profound way of being honest, no non sense about him, he was true to us all

I hope he didnt suffer in the end, I can imagine how rough it must be for his entire family

    may Garrett rest in peace.......Bill

  2. Hi Jennifer, I'm glad Garrett had someone in his life. I look forward to following along with you. It really is just about one choice at a time. Just have faith in yourself and you'll do great.

  3. Hi, Jennifer.

So glad that you told us a bit more about Garrett. I am glad that you two were together, but I am sure that this is a very painful period for you. My thoughts are with you.

  4. Hi Jennifer,

I came here from Big Clyde's blog.

I am trying to figure out what to write...it's so tough. I didn't know Garrett, but when I read his blog posts, it's like he knew me. He KNEW what it was like to be me.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope that there is a way that you can tell his other friends and family how much he meant to me - a person he didn't know at all.

Thank you for carrying on - and I hope that you will persevere where he couldn't.

Please let me know if I can do anything at all to help.
